ABSA Bank Have Been Recognised For Their Covid-19 Response

ABSA Bank win Euromoney 2020 Excellence in Leadership in Africa Award for their Covid-19 response.

ABSA Bank have won a prestigious award recognising their efforts both internally among staff as well as with clients with regard to Covid-19. The Euromoney 2020 Excellence in Leadership in Africa Award was presented during July 2020. The Awards began all the way back in 1996 and have been running without interruption since.

Putting Their Money Where Their Mouth Is

ABSA has 12 different countries in Africa where they operate and has offered relief to around 700 000 retail account holders in South Africa alone during the crisis (thus far).

ABSA has also donated a massive R10 million to the Covid-19 Solidarity Fund and has put more than R55 million into various government initiatives and civil society efforts to offer assistance to those impacted by the pandemic. These measures have made a solid impact in helping reduce the fall out from both the Pandemic and the national lockdown.

 

Debt Review Awards 2020

Locally, the results of the 2020 annual debt review industry peer reviews will be announced on September 11th online. The peer reviews will end this month and after being audited will be announced on the day of the show.
