DCASA Meeting in Cape Town

The Debt Counsellors Association of South Africa (DCASA) are beginning their meetings across the country and one of the first meetings will be held this week in Parow, Cape Town. Members and credit providers will attend and network as well as engage one another on topics to do with debt review.

At the Western Cape meeting, members can look forward to engaging with PDA DC Partner (who recently received some one sided bad press), Capitec Bank, Home Choice and ABSA bank. There will also be a presentation by insurance experts Meliorleaf. Insurance is one of those topics that Debt Counsellors have had to learn a lot about and be very cautious when discussing with consumers. Many consumers give up their crucial insurance when times are tough financially and this can later hurt them badly. Thus many Debt Counsellors refer consumers to FAIS advisors to work on this part of their budget.
