1/6th of Americans Choose Trump As Next President
The votes are in and Mr. Donald Trump has been elected as the next American President. While less than a third of Americans decided it was worth heading to the poles to cast their votes, Mr Trump gathered the needed numbers and states to win the presidential race. He will take office in January 2017.
The Rand has done very well against the Dollar as the American markets shift and change during the elections. Investors in the US have shifted away from stocks and are more focused on bonds during such times. It remains to see how the currency performs as the world grows used to the idea of a new Republican American President.
