Mobile Networks

For the last 2 years Capitec has been offering mobile phone services to their clients.

They now have 1.3 million active sim cards making use of their mobile virtual network which is through Cell C in the background.

Capitec currently also have a deal in place with Showmax for their clients to access the platform for only R22/month (or R34/month for the football option). They offer 5Gb of data for R145.

Capitec say they are now thinking about venturing into fixed line fibre (broadband internet).
