New Debt Counselling Firm Launches in the Cape

This weekend saw the official launch of the Cape Debt Clinic. The event was held in Cape Town along the beachfront at the Cape Lagoon Hotel. An intimate group of fellow Debt Counsellors, business owners, corporate representatives and friends gathered to hear all about Cape Debt Clinic’s hopes and dreams.

cheese and wineGuests got to mingle for a while and discuss all the local news and industry gossip (and a little about Chow Chows) while sipping on sparkling wine and eating snacks. The venue featured a lovely outside deck area where guests could sit and enjoy the ocean breeze while staring out over the sea at Table Mountain.

 

 

 

Cape Debt Clinic

Cape Debt Clinic is the creation of Karin Augustyn and Vanessa Munro (childhood friends) who have a strong balance of industry passion and systems experience. Karin is well known in the industry for her work with DCM over the last 5 years or so and Vanessa is an IT Guru who has done it all, from helping NGOs set up their systems to investigating fraud. The intention is for Cape Debt Clinic to focus on not only debt review but also financial education and social responsibility while building trusted partnerships within the industry.

A beautiful Cape Town sunset, accompanied by live music, ended off the pleasant cheese and wine event. It will be exciting to see how Cape Debt Clinic fare in an industry that is once again going through a boom as more consumers than ever are in need of financial education and debt review.
