Debt Counselling Community Support Fundraiser Breakfast – Friday 10th

 

Debt Counselling Community Support are hosting a fund raising breakfast in Cape Town on Friday the 10th of April 2015. The breakfast will be held at The Hollow Tree in Bellville, Cape Town. To book your spot email: admin@dccsupport.co.za

 

Beginning in the closing months of 2014 a new charity like project called DCCS or Debt Counselling Community Support began operating with the intent of letting consumers know the good things that various Debt Counsellors were doing to help people in their community or their clients. In an effort to spread the word about how Debt Counsellors and some credit providers as well as Payment Distribution Agencies are helping consumers a website and social media accounts were put in place to reach the public with this positive message.

Helping companies to help others

DCCS also took an active role in trying to assist vulnerable consumers under debt review gain a reprieve or assistance with challenges that come their way. With funding provided by companies and individuals in the industry DCCS was able to help provide shopping hampers to needy families who while under debt review were beginning to feel the pinch of rising food and transport costs. At the beginning of 2015 DCCS was able (with funding from generous donors) to provide back to school hampers to several families under debt review with school going kids.

Fundraising

With all that DCCS has been able to accomplish so far it is hoped that the project can do even more in the coming months. As such DCCS are running their first fund raising breakfast which will present attendees not only the chance to mingle and nibble but also learn more about what various companies and individuals in the debt review community are doing to help educate and assist troubled consumers above and beyond debt counselling. Also to be discussed are some of DCCS plans for the coming months and how those attending can get involved.
