4 Months To Go

The Debt Review Awards recognises hard work and excellence in the field of debt review.

Much of the Debt Review Awards process is based on peer reviews by those who are registered with the NCR and work in the industry. Peer reviews happen throughout the year and we thank everyone for taking time to complete these reviews.

We are looking forward to hearing the results announced during the livestreamed Awards gala on Friday afternoon, 24th October.

The event will be held in person in KZN this year. Local Debt Counsellors and those nominated for certain categories will have the opportunity to attend in person.

Legal Awards

Last year, this new category was added, with 2 certificates handed out to top performing legal practices.

This year, the organisers are working with the debt review legal fraternity to add additional criteria to the consideration of attorneys working for Debt Counsellor, and attorneys working for credit providers. This will allow us to hand out Awards to the top-rated nominees.

As in previous years, the prestigious Nousheen Pore Award (and associated financial prize) will be going to an outstanding legal person, who mentors others and brings benefit to the whole legal side of debt review.

Media Awards

We are excited this year to announce the inclusion of another important part of the industry: The Media.

Consumers learn much through the news and media. Thus, it is important that we recognise the journalistic efforts of those who share stories and information about debt review. The articles or posts might be explaining how the process works, offering advice or even warnings on what to avoid. We are open to all such journalistic efforts.

This year, we are asking members of the public, and those working in the industry, to let us know about media pieces they feel are outstanding (and no, that does not mean your TikTok video of you dancing to ‘money, money, money’).

If you would like to nominate a particular piece of journalism about debt review, then please do so HERE.

Join the Action Live

The entire Awards Gala event will be livestreamed from the venue and we invite you to tune in and enjoy the show.

Be the first to hear the results and catch all the action (including some exciting announcements).

The Livestream always starts around midday with special content for those tuning in online, before we switch to the speeches and Awards announcements.

The event is livestreamed over YouTube. While you wait for the day to arrive, you can sign up to the channel so long, to get notifications and get access to some videos explaining how things are progressing (or watch previous years’ awards).

You can do that HERE

See you all online on the 24th of October.
