As organisers of the annual Debt Review Awards (with a lot of help from willing folks all over the industry) Debtfree Magazine are getting very excited about the upcoming launch of the online peer review system.
If you have not already heard (or seen on www.debtreviewawards.co.za) the way the awards process works has changed this year. In previous years panels of industry experts got together and used everyday and high level industry experience to determine which firms were currently taking the top spots in various categories. This involved a lot of hard work for a smaller group of willing but very busy professionals. Their work was much appreciated and the results reflected a working knowledge of the industry each year.
This year, in an effort to not only lighten the load but also to expand the pool of expert opinions to a wider group, the Debt Review Awards process is moving online with the use of a peer review survey system which will allow individuals from around the country (registered with the NCR) to participate in evaluating leading industry parties and helping determine who the top firms are in SA at present. We have less than 2 weeks till the system goes live and have been working hard to finalise all aspects of the online system.
