With the end of the year approaching, the sun shines longer, the mood begins to lighten, and many look forward to a little down time for a few days.
After all, who doesn’t look forward to spending extra time with family and friends and taking it a bit slower over the end of the year?
It is a great time to relax and have some fun.
If you are in debt review, then keep in mind the option to adjust your payment date of any debits coming off your account for your debt repayment. And of course, keep in mind the need to not blow your budget. That goes without saying.
As the year end approaches, take a moment to congratulate yourself on making it through another year. It has not been a simple one and no doubt you faced challenges along the way. Well done!
The end of the year is also a natural time to take stock (and check your balances to see how far you have come) and plan for the year ahead.
We have a few articles about things to keep in mind over the year end and start of the year. We also share some of our plans for the new year (to help the industry). Debt Counsellors too, will enjoy the reminders about the coming changes to issuing clearance certificates for clients who successfully complete the process. It is one of the highlights of being a Debt Counsellor. So, do check that out.
We also have news, reviews, an interview, info on free business training and more. The issue is jam packed with info to mull over as you strategize for 2026.
Now, you may be determined to make some changes next year. That’s pretty normal. You may want to lose a little weight, do more exercise, change your diet, spend more time with your family, get more clients, that sort of thing. All of these are great ideas. But while others are still thinking about what new year’s resolutions to make, people in debt review already know what they want to accomplish in 2026.
That’s right.
Making progress on getting out of debt.
It is a simple yet powerful goal for the months to come. It is one that will change your entire future for decades to come. Not just for you, but for your entire family.
So, enjoy the end of year. Enjoy the issue. Enjoy the break. Take some time for yourself to look back and see how far you have already come and we hope that you start the new year with a renewed sense of purpose and determination to get debt free.
