Our Editor's Note

You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.

I think we can all agree that a sudden loss or dramatic life change can make you realise how much you actually appreciated someone or something in the past.

Maybe it was a person close to you or maybe something as mundane as the ability to cover all your bills. Maybe it was your old rent before your landlord bumped the price or the old cost of petrol before bombs started falling in the middle east.  Maybe it was how you had forgotten all about social distancing and covering your mouth when you cough before you started reading about Ebola spreading like wildfire.

Sadly, it is a human trait that we tend to neglect how good things are right now and forget that things could be harder…until they are.

Then when things change, we look back with rose coloured glasses and go to the other extreme of thinking things were so much better in the past (when, let’s face it, we all had problems too).

Still, no loss or big change is easy to cope with.

That’s why, in this issue, we take a look at our attitude towards debt and debt review.

‘Some people who enter the process love it, others hate it’

Some people who enter the process love it, others hate it.

Which are you?

We also look at things like the latest industry and financial news (bad news about petrol coming, I am afraid) and tips, advice and more.

So, if you are currently trying to adjust to a new reality or cope with a sudden change or loss, you have our sympathy. That’s never easy. And often we have no control over these circumstances. All we can do is try to adjust our attitude and cope with our new reality.

As always, this issue is designed to help you learn more, adjust better, and think more positively. The good news is that you certainly won’t miss all your debt when it’s gone.

We hope that this issue helps you on your journey to become debt free.
