A British man now faces the probability of going to jail for defrauding a UK charity debt counselling firm and it’s clients.

Mr Simon Warner-Hodgkin gained employment at the firm by faking his qualifications and then once employed started to move troubled consumers money around, some of which made its way into his personal account. Though much of the funds were recovered it seems that £30,000 is still missing. After being caught out and arrested the matter went to trial. The fake Debt Counsellor Mr Warner-Hodgkin has now pleaded guilty to the charges.

 

The judge in the matter has forewarned him: “It is very likely that you will go to prison and you must be prepared for that.”
