Being a Debt Counsellor is technically challenging. The process requires a lot of attention to detail, good record keeping, staff and client management and knowledge about finances, the courts and the National Credit Act.
Starting out as a Debt Counsellor is also tricky since you have to not only experience the steep learning curve of actual everyday practice but you have to try and find clients as well.
This series of workshops is designed to help new Debt Counsellors network with more experienced ones as well as credit providers and other industry service providers.
The brief 30 minute workshops also focus on basic marketing information and cover a wide range of topics from building a brand to putting information on social media.
In the next 6 weeks (as this round of workshops finishes up) the workshops will focus on Advertising (2 workshops) and Sales (2 workshops) and then finish up with a look at all the material covered and how it can be put together to build a successful practice.
If you would like to join the final few weeks of the online workshops then simply email:
The workshops are held on Zoom and are free to attend. They are most suited for new Debt Counsellors and Debt Counsellors with practices with under 300 clients.
Shhhhh
During May, there will also be an in-person workshop for those interested in building a sustainable practice (without having to pay for leads). If you are interested in attending the Cape Town workshop please mail:
