Going Above and Beyond
Debt Counsellors Care For their Customers
It is clear from the fees charged that debt counselling is not about making lots of money from consumers who are already financially strained. Rather debt counselling is something pursued by passionate consumer activists who want to do all they can to assist consumers get back on their feet.

As an example, the debt counselling firm DCGsa have been helping their clients above and beyond just assisting with restructuring their debt. We spoke to them about what they have been doing.
DCGsa have clients who suffer from Cancer and are unable to afford a lot of their treatment. Alisha Winson of DCGsa says:”We found a charity that assists people who are in this situation. The CANSA Relay for life is a great initiative that raises funds and those funds are directly used to get Cancer patients treatment if they cannot afford it. They also do amazing things that most people take for granted like simply driving a Cancer patient to and from their treatments as they do not have vehicles to transport themselves, and treatment makes them weak so they wouldn’t even be able to drive themselves anyway. They do BIG things like pay for treatment and small things like make supper for the patients who just don’t have the strength to do it for themselves. This is why we have supported this event for the past two years and will continue to support it.”
How does the CANSA Relay work? Alisha says that you are tasked with an entire night of walking a track, the festivities start with the survivors walking their lap with their caregivers. She continues:”hourly we have a new theme to dress up to to walk the track, Cancer never sleeps and so we don’t either, by 7am the next morning you have an amazing feeling knowing that you did it!” They say the DCGsa Team is always excited for the event and although it is tiring,
Taking Selfies
Alisha says:” We are glad to have raised funds for Cancer by paying for our stand, and also bringing the Purple Super DC Dino out for the kids to have photos with, well sometimes the adults are also very excited to have some selfies with him too…There is some sort of comradery that fills your soul and knowing that you did something so strenuous and I say strenuous as none of us are athletes, but for such a great cause.”
