Have You Signed Up?

Each year the Debt Counselling industry is asked (over several months) to provide feedback about how their colleagues on the opposite side of the industry are performing. Debt Counsellors are asked to review credit providers and credit providers are asked to review Debt Counsellors. This process is called the Annual Debt Review Awards Peer Review.

Over time the results are slowly compiled online via software to present an industry averaged view of NCR registered Debt Counsellors, PDAs and credit providers. The results are then announced on the night of the Annual Debt Review Awards Gala.

Though Covid-19 has changed the way the Gala will be held this year, the process has been underway since 2019 on into 2020 and the results will be announced in September this year. Normally, the results have been revealed in June or July around the anniversary of the enacting of the National Credit Act. With the lockdown and pandemic this year the organisers decided to push back the announcement (Gala) date to allow everyone time to deal with the sudden changes forced on the industry.

How You Can Be Eligible To Receive An Award

In order to take home a Golden Piggybank at the Awards, it is necessary to have registered with the Debt Review Awards online. If you have not signed up it does not mean that your peers will not have reviewed you or that you will not be discussed. This process can/will happen anyway as peers receive invitations to review groups of firms at a time. It may, however, prevent you from being announced as one of the highest rated in the country for 2020.

Other requirements also apply like receiving the highest averaged ratings and being registered and in good standing with the National Credit Regulator (NCR). For the full terms & conditions head over to the Debt Review Awards website.
