Parents know that school holidays are an expensive time. How can you keep your kids happy when times are tight?

UK based Debt Counsellors suggest the creation of a “boredom jar”  which parents can fill with cheap entertainment  ideas written on slips of paper.

Kids can then do a ‘ lucky dip’ when things are quiet.

 

Things in the jar could include: visiting free museums and art galleries or simply get-togethers with friends and picnics.
