workshop conferenceThe Workshop starts at 9:30 and will be held at the Durbanville Conference Center (which they have previously used for a similar workshop). The address for the Durbanville Conference Centre is 27 Wellington Road, (that’s the main road in Durbanville CBD), 1st Floor, Town Centre (Shoprite Centre). There is parking at the back of the facility and an entrance both in the front on the main road and at the back by the parking. The NCR have asked that those attending be there at 9 so that they can sign in and get seats etc by 9:30 when the workshop is set to begin.

The Line up:

The workshop will address a lot of the new guidelines being issued by the NCR or being discussed by the CIF. The CIF is a industry discussion group who make proposals to the NCR about how to handle matters not covered in the NCA in regard to debt review.  Here is a look at what the topics of the day will be:

NCA Amendments and Regulations

Mr. Siphamandla Kumkani – The DTI

.
CIF Task Team Agreement

Mr. Paul Slot – Task Team Sub-Committee Chairperson

.
End Balances Difference Process

Mr. Rob Easton-Berry- Chairperson- NCRFSA

.
Consent Order Application Process

Mr. Farhad Lockhat- Senior Case Analyst –NCT

.
Debt Review Withdrawal Process

Mr. Paul Slot- Chairperson- Task Team Sub Committee

In the past, the precedent has been set that there is little time for questions from the audience and rather the focus is on presentations. A few questions might be fielded but not many on each topic. The NCR has called for those attending to submit questions and queries before hand (to tmolefi@ncr.org.za) to try see if they can streamline or target the material covered. The workshop is slated to end at 4pm.
