Want to Work For the Regulator?

If you were curious what it takes to work for the NCR in a senior position the following job posting might be of interest to you.

It was for the post of NCR COO.

Applications closed end of April 2025.

As you can see applications are now closed.

Interestingly, the advertised salary range for NCR CEO (as opposed to COO) as of a job posting at the end of 2023 was:

R 2 158 533 – R 2 428 830 per annum.

It seems that may have been a starting salary range however since a NCR report shows the actual reimbursement for the NCR CEO in 2023 – 2024 came in at R3 282 217.00 + provident and travel etc.

Some, of course, will feel these salaries are very high, while others might feel they are low for the level of experience and responsibility involved.

According to BusinessTech, the average government employee earns R41,200 per month

You can read about the average government salary here. If you are curious about what Debt Counsellors earn you can check out this article from 2023.

‘Only 15% of the most senior Debt Counsellors in the entire industry earn above the National Average wage’

Either way, whether you think these salaries are high or low, it is simply interesting to know what jobs (and salaries) are being advertised.
