Every 3 months the National Credit Regulator requires Debt Counsellors to hand in a report on their new and existing clients. This information helps the NCR monitor what is happening industry wide. they are then able to compare it with the regularly updated information that Debt Counsellors have to capture on the NCR Debt Help system. It is a condition of registration for Debt Counsellors. The latest report is due this week (the 15th).

If you are a Debt Counsellor and forgot then please do make arrangements to get the NCR this info ASAP before they email you asking for it. You still have a few days to get that report together. Fortunately the various PDA software systems have made gathering this information even easier than before. One day the NCR Debt Help system might even be able to automatically help draft this info (that’s the dream) cutting down on the redundancy of doing this via to information streams.
