NCR want to know about Free State Courts

The National Credit Regulator ( NCR ) often does research on various aspects of the Debt Review process. Integral to the process is how the Magistrates courts deal with debt review applications. Every application for debt review has to go via a Magistrates court (unless somehow the High Court makes an order). Proposals made by the Debt Counsellor are put before a Magsistrate to turn into a legally binding Court Order.

The NCR are currently investigating how things are going in the Free State Province and in particular courts in and around Bloemfontein. They have asked Debt Counsellors to please submit any “challenges” they have faced at court in these areas.
