NCR Webinars in September 2026

The National Credit Regulator is hosting some webinars and have informed all Debt Counsellors that they have to attend at least one session.

The NCR have reached out to all their registered Debt Counsellors (around 1800 at present) and informed them that there will be a webinar hosted at the end of September outlining the measures that they (the NCR) will be taking against any Debt Counsellors who break the rules.

The webinars are focused on these “restrictive measures” and will form both a warning and preview of things to come for those who run afoul of the NCR’s rules about debt counselling.

The NCR (along with the National Consumer Tribunal) can take action against anyone registered with the NCR who breaks the National Credit Act (or regulations). This can result in fines or even deregistration.

In the past, there have even been massive fines issued as a result of breaches in the requirements of the Act (as much as R1 000 000). Several Debt Counsellors have been deregistered by the NCT over the years.

Times and Codes

Here are the details of the Webinars and access codes for NCR registered Debt Counsellors who wish to attend.

Traditionally, you drop your NCRDC number into the chat when you join, so they can record who attended.

The webinars may also introduce new measures the NCR have planned, and it is very important that all Debt Counsellors attend.
