NCT Chairperson to Speak at the Debt Review Awards
The National Credit Tribunal plays an integral part in debt review and has in the past been able to help many consumers with consent orders for debt review. A consent order is where all parties are happy with the restructuring plan the Debt Counsellor creates. Recently the National Credit Amendment Act extended the NCT’s powers to include hearing reckless credit matters. Reckless credit has many facets but is mainly about when a credit provider grants credit to a consumer knowing that they already have too many other obligations and probably wont be able to repay the debt as per the contract.
