Some Debt Counsellors have expressed concern that at present it seems the NCR database of all registrants cannot search by company name.

In some cases, there is also some concern about searching by town or city name and the system, unlike things like Google search or Microsoft Word’s autocorrect, does not have any functionality for misspelling of names. (Eg. if you type Dovid instead of David the system will not find a result). 

There are even cases of people searching for their own company name or their own personal name and not being able to find themselves though registered.

The concern is that this undermines the purpose of the database and may expose consumers to danger or confusion when checking on debt counsellors or those who have given the consumer a company name.

There is a lot of talk about upgrades coming to the database and also the NCR’s DHS system in the near future.
