When the NCR shut of the NCR Debt Help System website, which Debt Counsellors have to use each day, back on the 3rd of February, there was a long time of radio silence which confused many in the industry.
After several weeks of silence, a notice went up on the NCR DHS home page with a brief explanation, but then later disappeared.
There has now been some further movement as the notice is back. It currently reads:
Notification
The National Credit Regulator (NCR) is aware of technical issues currently affecting the availability of the Debt Help System (DHS). We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.
NCR further recognise that this may impact users and appreciate your patience while the matter is being addressed.
Debt Counsellors are encouraged to continue performing all functions in full compliance with the National Credit Act and to maintain all related records.
