ABSA Debt Review Centre Closed Today
Since the inception of the National Credit Act in 2007, all credit providers are obliged to deal with debt review matters. Most larger credit providers have a dedicated team of trained individuals who deal with only debt review matters (rather than general collections or other legal work).
ABSA’s dedicated Debt Review call centre has let the industry know that they are not available to chat today during normal work hours. While they will still be taking emails and will reply to them as per their usual workflow turn around times they will not be answering the phones.
ABSA say that normal work hours will resume on Monday next week (15th) as usual.
