African Bank’s New CEO

For a while now Ms Basani Maluleke has been sitting poised to take control at African Bank. As CEO ‘designate’ at the “good” African Bank, she has been part of the “turnaround” since back in 2015 and climbing the ranks since.

Ms Maluleke is 40 years old and has a background in law, having worked at Edward Nathan Friedland before joining RMB in 2005. She moved to FNB in 2011, heading up the private clients section, before the move to African Bank.

She replaces CEO Brian Riley, who has been at the helm of the ship since the crash and subsequent rescue efforts. We wish her the best in her new position.
