LIVING ON LESS: CLOTHES SWOP
Have you ever looked in your cupboard and thought, “I have a cupboard full of clothes, but nothing to wear!”? Us women love to keep clothes that we used to fit into, or a pair of shoes that we just HAD to have, but actually can’t walk in them for more than 5 minutes without having to lean on something. We know we can’t throw it way because there is nothing wrong with it! Never fear, you are not alone!
Have you ever thought of swopping some of your perfectly good items you never use with some of your friends? Why not get together with your girlfriends who have the same issue for a clothes swop and make an afternoon of it? Add some red velvet cupcakes and sparkling wine to the mix and you will have a blast. You will be amazed with what you can come away with. At my recent clothes swop party, I scored a Woolies Mac, silky Marian Hill cocktail dress and lovely pair of ASOS heels (that will probably sit in my cupboard until the next swop).
Wondering what to do with the clothes, bags and shoes that are left over? Why not donate them to a local harity/hospice shop and they can make some other ladies smile. This is something that you can arrange with our friends, at least 4 times a year, just before the change of each season and it will satisfy your inner bargain hunter.
