NCR To Meet with Magistrates
Sadly some courts across the country are known for their poor delivery when consumers approach the court for debt relief through debt review. In an effort to improve things for consumers and credit providers alike the NCR is meeting with Magistrates from various provinces to try help facilitate faster turn around times and more consistent rulings in regard to debt review. They hope that some Magistrates will take to heart the example of other courts who process these matters regularly and timeously.
The National Credit Regulator “NCR” will be conducting consultations with Magistrates in Mpumalanga, Kwa-Zulu Natal and the Eastern Cape in the near future.
NCR Call On Debt Counsellors for Help
The NCR are trying to compile a list of possible issues that need to be addressed and identity courts that may not be performing as well. They have turned to the local Debt Counsellors to assist by providing information on these courts.
The NCR request all debt counsellors operating in Mpumalanga, Kwa-Zulu Natal and the Eastern Cape, to make written submissions on the kind of challenges they are experiencing in courts and also include the name of the court.
The written submissions can sent to email@example.com and must reach the NCR by the 5th of February 2015.
