Mining Strikes continue – Debt Review Applications Triple
As the strikes in the Platinum Belt continue more and more people are having to turn to debt review to help them through tough times. A secondary effect of the strike is less business for local companies and businesses are feeling the pinch as customers are not coming through their doors.
Debt Rescue CEO Neil Roets says that the number of people applying for debt counselling has recently more than tripled at Debt Rescue’s Rustenburg branch. “Most of the people approaching us for help are now more than three months behind in their payments,” he said. “Many have been threatened with legal action and going under debt review is the only way to secure their property and prevent further legal action.”
Debt review is a legal way of forcing consumers to pay a reasonable amount and credit providers to accept reduced payments each month on debts. Find out how debt review works here: https://debtfreedigi.co.za/debt-review-how-it-works/
