NCR Monitoring visits to become more standardized

The National Credit Regulator sends out staff members (called NCR Monitors) to visit Debt Counsellors and Credit Providers. Recently however a group of Debt Counsellors (the Black Debt Counsellors Forum) announced that they were going to refuse any more visits from the NCR monitors. The BDCF demanded to met with the NCR to gain clarity on exactly what the Monitors were going to review when they came to visit ,since they felt there had been big problems and inconsistencies in this regard in the past.

The NCR have now met with the BDCF and a revised and clarified checklist of sorts will soon be distributed, so that all parties know what will be checked on the monitoring visits. In an effort to get the input from all DCs the NCR sent out a circular asking for comments on the current proposed tool.
