Credit Providers are reminded to pay their renewal fees to the NCR in order to receive their 2026 – 2027 certificate.
The annual renewal fee must be paid by 31 July.
If payment is not made by the annual deadline:
A 30-day grace period generally applies.
A penalty fee becomes payable during the grace period.
Failure to pay within the grace period can result in the automatic lapse in registration.
Currently, the fee is based on the total principal debt on their book.
R1 000 for total principal debt under R250 000 all the way up to R330 000 for total principal debt of R15 billion or more. Consult Table A of the Government Gazette of 11 May 2016 for full figures. There is also a R250 Branch Fee (or more, if the credit provider has multiple branches).
When making their payment, NCR registrants are reminded of the following information to avoid delays in processing the payment:
Use your registration number as the reference number.
Check that you are using the correct NCR bank account details. Fees may be paid by electronic transfer or by direct deposit and proof of payment must be sent to fees@ncr.org.za
