Debt Counsellors are reminded to pay their renewal fees to the NCR in order to receive their 2026 – 2027 certificate.
These certificates are needed for use at court to assist consumers who apply for debt restructuring.
The annual renewal fee must be paid by 31 July.
If payment is not made by the annual deadline:
A 30-day grace period generally applies.
A penalty fee becomes payable during the grace period.
Failure to pay within the grace period can result in the automatic lapsing of the Debt Counsellor’s registration.
Currently, the fee is R500 + a R250 Branch Fee (or more, if the Debt Counsellor has multiple branches).
When making their payment, NCR registrants are reminded of the following information to avoid delays in processing the payment:
Use your registration number as the reference number.
Check that you are using the correct NCR bank account details. Fees may be paid by electronic transfer or by direct deposit and proof of payment must be sent to fees@ncr.org.za
