Credit Provider SA Taxi have something of a non cooperative reputation when it comes to debt review. When debt review first began they were hit by a number of claims in regard to reckless credit granting (granting credit to consumers who can’t afford it or understand the conditions or don’t receive all the needed paperwork or have the proper financial assessments done prior to granting credit). The latest correspondence coming out of their office is that rather than receive notice of court matters via email they prefer hand delivery of court papers via a Sheriff of the Court. There are obviously cost implications for the service which the consumer will have to bare. This is, of course, their legal right and all credit providers and Debt Counsellors can withhold permission for electronic notification should they wish.
It remains to be seen if they will try to oppose delivery of the court documentation via Registered Mail (See NCA Sect 168).
