Highlights From the Awards 2026
On Friday 16th of October 2026, the annual Debt Review Awards Gala was live streamed from Durbanville, Cape Town.
The event was attended by over 250 people at the venue and had an estimated 10 000 industry viewers watching at office parties and homes across the country.
Here are some of the highlights from this celebration of debt review and debt counselling.
Guests
Guests came from various parts of the industry.
From the NCR and NCT to registrants like Debt Counsellors, Credit Providers, PDAs and Credit Bureaus to those who offer support services like attorneys, telecoms, insurance, software and more.
Everyone was dressed in whimsical spring chic outfits and looking very smart. At least one guest wore a kilt.
There were also many others from across the country who watched online and held office parties to get in on the fun.
Guests enjoyed refreshments and snacks before and after thanks to the generous donations and support from sponsors.
Speakers
Speakers at the event included the new NCR CEO, Mr Otsile Maseng, NCT Chairman Trevor Bailey, as well as, CASA Legal & Compliance Officer, Leandri De Lange and Mr Tiaan Hattingh of iPDA on behalf of PDASA.

The Results: Peer Reviews
Across the year from November 2025 – Sept 2026, a series of peer reviews were held where members of the industry and NCR registrants could evaluate their peers (on the opposite side of the industry).
The results were announced on the day of the Gala, overseen by Moore SA.
