Hyphen PDA Will Be Available

Hyphen PDA staff will be working remotely during the lockdown and will be accessible to Debt Counsellors and Credit Providers as well as able to respond to consumer queries.

They will be making good use of secure connections to servers and changes to their telephony set up to try to provide their usual level of service throughout the lockdown.

Hyphen PDA are sending consumers sms to update them and let them know that they will still be able to get in touch if they need statements or have enquiries etc.

PDAs & Essential Services Status?

Hyphen PDA has applied to be recognised as a critical service during the lockdown so that some of their key staff will be able to travel during the lockdown. It is said that BASA members have been pushing for all PDAs to be recognised as such.

The Payment Distribution Association of South Africa have been in touch with the NCR and DTI in this regard and also in regard to other challenges the industry is bound to face like an increase in disputes by consumers and therefore dispute losses by the PDAs (with regard to their debt review payments which PDAs have to swiftly distribute).
